Jharkhand Exam Irregularities Student Protest  –  The ongoing demonstration against alleged irregularities and paper leaks in Jharkhand recruitment examinations entered its 14th day in Ranchi, with agitating student groups announcing a march to the State Assembly. Under the banner of the JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, the protest has emerged as one of the largest student-led agitations in the state, prompting the Chief Minister Hemant Soren-led government to offer official dialogue to resolve the standoff.

Tensions heightened at the protest venue after student leader Rahul Kranti, who had been on an indefinite hunger strike since Tuesday, was rushed to Ranchi Sadar Hospital following a sharp decline in his health. Five other agitators, including JLKM leader Devendra Nath Mahto, continue their fast. Demonstrators announced a planned gherao march toward the Jharkhand Assembly during its ongoing Monsoon Session to press their demands for systemic examination reforms.

In response to Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s statement that government doors remain open for dialogue, the JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch constituted an 11-member delegation comprising eight students, two academic experts, and an advocate to initiate formal discussions. A five-member ministerial committee, including ministers Dipika Pandey Singh and Sudivya Kumar, was designated by the state administration to meet the student representatives and address their grievances.

Jharkhand Exam Irregularities Student Protest – Core Demands for CBI Probe and Ongoing CID Investigation

 The protesting aspirants are demanding the immediate cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Civil Services Examination, alongside a probe conducted either by the CBI or a panel of retired High Court judges. Meanwhile, an ongoing CID investigation into the recruitment scandal has led to 19 arrests so far, even as opposition parties continue to raise slogans inside the State Assembly premises.
