Saphale Armed Robbery Arrest – In a swift investigation, the Palghar Police arrested two repeat offenders from Byculla, Mumbai, for allegedly carrying out an armed robbery targeting an 18-year-old pedestrian in Saphale. According to authorities, the incident took place on August 12 on Dhondalpada Road near Kelwa Road, where the accused confronted the teenager, threatened him with a knife, and looted his smartphone valued at ₹38,000 alongside ₹2,000 in cash.

Following a formal complaint by the victim, Anuj Kumar Shravan Rai, Saphale Police registered an FIR under Sections 309(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Under the guidance of Palghar Superintendent of Police Yatish Deshmukh, a special detection team used technical intelligence and local contacts to trace the suspects to Byculla, where police detained and formally arrested 32-year-old Mohammed Anas Mohammed Amjad Ansari and 38-year-old Mehfuz Ali Ansari.
