Divya Parmar Pune Arrest – In a major enforcement action, the Kondhwa Police in Pune arrested a 23-year-old self-styled motivational speaker and influencer, Divya Jitendra Parmar. Parmar, who promoted himself as a “baba” and spiritual guide to his followers, was taken into custody after a 22-year-old woman filed a police complaint accusing him of extortion and molestation.

According to police investigators, the victim initially approached Parmar seeking mental peace and positive guidance. Misusing her trust, Parmar convinced the victim that “negative energy” had entered her body. He claimed that to purge the energy through physical activities, she needed to send him semi-nude photographs of herself. Using threats and intimidation, he coerced her into sending the images to his mobile phone.

Divya Parmar Pune Arrest – Case Registered Under BNS, IT Act, and Anti-Superstition Laws

Following the victim’s complaint, the Kondhwa Police Station registered a formal FIR against Parmar. Charges were invoked under Sections 75, 78, 79, and 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for outraging modesty, Section 67 of the IT Act, and Section 3(2) of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013.

Divya Parmar Pune Arrest  – Police Seize Electronic Devices; Remand Extended to 2 Days

Upon arresting Parmar, police officers seized his laptop and mobile phones to inspect stored content for potential additional victims. Investigators revealed that Parmar regularly held motivational seminars in Pune to build a following among local youth, using physical fitness tips as a guise to solicit inappropriate photographs. The local court remanded Parmar to two days of police custody for further investigation.
