A bench comprising Justices J.B. Pardiwala and K. Earlier, the Supreme Court had appointed former CJI D.Y. Chandrachud as sole mediator after observing that the conflict—which it famously likened to a complex family battle—involved intricate questions over the control of the RK Family Trust, Sona Comstar corporate shareholdings, and multiple estate assets.
