NDA leaders emphasized projecting a united front to highlight the government’s commitment to protecting student interests and restoring examination integrity.

The inclusion of NCPI leaders Kakoli Ghosh and Shatabdi Roy marked a expansion of the NDA’s parliamentary floor management strategy. Meanwhile, Speaker Om Birla held consultative outreach with floor leaders of major political parties, helping resolve days of parliamentary deadlock. Following the outreach, opposition parties agreed to participate in a dedicated four-to-six-hour floor debate on the proposed examination reforms instead of stalling proceedings.

The proposed amendment bill, introduced by MoS Jitendra Singh, introduces stringent measures including up to 10 years imprisonment, ₹50 lakh fines, and special fast-track courts for exam fraud cases. With parliamentary consensus reached to discuss the bill on Tuesday, lawmakers are set to deliberate on procedural timelines, task force structures, and state-level implementation frameworks aimed at curbing examination malpractices nationwide.
